Found myself in St. James Square and the nice little park. This is a privately owned park which is open to the public.
I tried out the S4 panorama mode. The camera stitches the images it is taking on the screen in real time whereas the Panasonic takes about 10 seconds to process a panorama like this. Given that the S4 camera is 13MP and Panasonic is 14MP there is not much difference but the processing power of the S4 in stitching this type of image.
This is one of the statues in the park.
The only annoying thing about the S4 is that google keep updating the Map/Navigation program and they seem to be removing features or make them harder to use.
Got back to hotel with some lunch. The Great Northern Hotel was built in 1854 and has recently undergone a 40m pound upgrade. It is very comfortable.
They have a small pantry on each floor with snacks and a Nespresso machine so guests can have coffee anytime they want.
I relaxed and watched some television. About 100 channels and not much to watch. Just been watch some old episodes of Magnum PI and The Professionals.
Planning to go to Oxford tomorrow by train and then catch the local bus tour.
