The path from the bus stop to the Roman Baths passes the cathedral which was the site of the first coronation of an English King in 873AD.

The entry hall to the Roman Baths
The actual baths. We were told not to touch the water as the green color is algae and it is not healthy.
Some of the excavated stones from the original Roman Baths
This is some of the original stonework exposed to view. It is about 2000 years old.
This shot is water flowing from the underground spring. I had to retake the shot as the camera activated the flash on the first shot and it looked washed out. It seems the Auto setting on the Nikon is a bit off when it comes to needing the flash.
Some of the original Roman paving around the baths

Got some thing to eat in Bath. Haven't had this in a long time Cheddar Cheese and Chutney Sandwiches. My grandmother used to make these when I was a kid.
The bus turned up. They have to park elsewhere as the space near the baths is limited and can only be there for ten minutes to drop and again to pick up passengers. If you miss it then the railway station is not too far away and trains run direct to London.
About an hour drive to Stonehenge passing the White Hill Horse. Too far away for good photos unless I had the 300mm lens (didn't bring it on the bus).
