Bus Tour - Stonehenge

Arrived at Stonehenge. The day was getting very hot (24C) but although we have these temperatures in Hobart this seemed hotter.

This is a nearby road which was rerouted to be further away from Stonehenge

The underground tunnel leading from the ticket office/shop/cafe which means that those structure are not visible from the stone circle itself. You can only get within about 10m of the circle as it is roped off but that is quite close enough as there are several stones of the same material at the entrance so you can feel what the stone is like.

If all of the tourists who visits the circle went around handling it I am sure there would be damage.

The most interesting this is that the purpose of the stone circle in England and Wales are still disputed with multiple theories being proposed. (See Wikipedia)

This is the tunnel from Stonehenge to the entrance.

The next is a short video which I took with the my phone showing the twin camera feature.
