Sydney to Dubai

The first sight of the A380 was the transfer from Domestic to International which in Sydney QANTAS does by bus across the tarmac of the airport so we got a good look at the A380 as it was being moved into position for loading.

A380's are huge. Two complete passenger decks and a cargo hold. The takeoff distance is certainly longer than any other aircraft I have flown in.

Although the A380 Business Class is very comfortable (seats recline to a bed at the press of the button) making it easier to get some sleep.

Some light turbulence kept waking me up so any sleep I got was disrupted.
The food was excellent and the crew kept everyone in business class well fed and drunk (starting with champagne)

After a 13 hour flight we landed in Dubai.
